monomachine behind the name monomachine lie two well known musicians of the spanish and chilean electronic scene respectively: iñigo oruezábal and francisco allendes. this adventure in minimal code, sometimes more techno and others more house oriented, gathers all the background and joint professional experience of both artists, as a result of years of individual experience in the best dj booths and studios in spain and south america. its a sound that relates directly with the vanguard sounds in the current electronic dance music has its main target in the dance floor, not leaving aside a high quality production which results in an intense and clear sound. here are their latest tracks, released on catwash records.bomb jack on the a side is a tweaky, techy, track with jungle drum and percussion, and a soothing constant bass line that makes this track a great connector in any set. ghost and goblins on the b side starts out with some rhythmic minimal bongo drum sounds before a deep echoey bassline enters and kicks the track into its real journey. the contrasting synth sounds add flavour that turns this into a good boppy track that will get the peeps grooving on the dancefloor!

americhords 2004 enter ep get a double reworking by two of our favourite producers: dan curtin and mark broom. ohios dan curtin metamorphic records delivers two diverse interpretations of >tighter my grip<. his first >track mix< is more in keeping with his recent stripped down productions on tuning spork, with a sharply produced linear reworking which focuses in on the original tracks vocals and shimmering synth riff. his second >string< mix sees him turn in another of his signature techno-funk classics, as only dan curtin knows how. long standing d1 collaborator mark broom, effortless as always, rearranges >phoenix< into two pulsating 4/4 grooves, with the originals haunting string line riding on top throughout both. again, as with recent d1 releases, this is strictly limited vinyl run of 300 copies

"access denied" is a surging, swinging, darkside monster thats relentlessly tricky and funky. the detroit pads are seriously tripped out and swamped in glitchy beats and stepping hi-hats, and theres some serious low end; its a hell of a track. regis and female are responsible for some of the best uk techno ever made. here they contribute c/chaos; performed live at the orbit in leeds, its simply massive, propelled by downward twisting strings and utterly slamming, intoxicating electronic rhythms. techno luminaries the 65d mavericks are renowned for their driving but innovative techno.
